Welcome to ENGR 301! This course takes a practice-based approach to teaching engineering project management, through repetition of core engineering management skills to acquire and maintain a high level of proficiency. Contemporary implementations of project management theory (as detailed in the course prescription) will be used in the practical project and include issue-tracker based development, source control management, configuration management, build management, continuous integration and continuous deployment. The practical project is a physical system with requirements encompassing software, cybersecurity and electronics, with significant opportunity for individuals and teams to solve real-world problems and attain a high level of skill in the management of their engineering work. If you have any questions or difficulties during the course then please feel free to send an email to the Course Coordinator James Quilty.
