Biography

Kiattikul Sooksomsatarn (A.J.) is now a PhD candidate under the supervision of Dr.Ian Welch and Prof.Winston Seah in Network Engineering at School of Engineering and Computer Science (ECS), Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand.

Education

  • He graduated Master of Science in Computer Science from Rangsit University, Thailand in 2004.
  • He graduated Diploma of Teaching Profession from Rajabhat Institute Phranakhon, Thailand in 2002.
  • He graduated Bachelor of Science in Mathematics minoring in Computer Programming from King Mongkut's University of Technology Thonburi, Thailand in 1999.

Professional Experience

  • He taught undergraduates in School of Information and Communication Technology at Naresuan Phayao University (Jun 05 to Present).
  • He taught undergraduates in department of Computer Science at Chaopraya University (Jun 04 to Jun 05).
  • He taught undergraduates in department of Business Computer at Saraburi Technical and Commercial College (Oct 00 to Jun 04).
  • He taught undergraduates in department of Business Computer at Kaengkoi Polytechnic College (Jun 99 to Oct 00).

Research

His main research interest is Network Coding, a field of information theory and coding theory which was introduced first time in 2000. It also includes Linear-, Random-, Wireless-, Sensor-, Ad-hoc-, Decentralised- and Secure Network Coding. Moreover, he is interested how to apply their theories to be practical, in other words, to find out what is the optimal throughput by collecting experimental data using GloMoSim as a simulator in many different circumstances.

Date of commencement for Network Engineering for PhD : 12 July 2010.
