Pippin Barr, BA(Hons), MSc, PhD

Hi. I'm Pippin, I did a Ph.D. (2004-2007) in the School of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science of Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand. I studied what I call ''videogame values'' from a Human-Computer Interaction angle, which mostly means I think about interfaces. How are the interfaces of games making you do what they want? How are you doing what ''you'' want with those game interfaces?

Keywords: Human-Computer Interaction, Usability, Computer Games, Ludology, Game Studies, Evaluation of Play, Semiotics, Activity Theory, User-Interface Metaphors, ...
