Welcome to the ENGR 301 home page. This page, and those linked below, provide information about the course and will be updated as the course proceeds. Students enrolled in ENGR 301 should visit this page regularly to ensure that they are aware of the information available here.

Announcements

27 June 0830: Marks from Test 2 are now available on the Course Marks page. Marked test papers are available from the School Office and a copy of the answers and marking guide is available from the In-Class Test (Planning and Execution) section of the Assessments page.

13 June 1900: The draft Project Progress Presentation Schedule is now available from the Assessments page.

12 June 1730: Detailed Project Progress Presentation Instructions are available from the Assessments page.

26 May 1215: Marked test papers are available from the School Office and a copy of the answers and marking guide is available from the In-Class Test (Initiation and Planning) section of the Assessments page and directly from the following link ENGR 301 Test 2017-05-02 Model Answers and Marking Guide (PDF).

25 May 2100: Marks from Test 1 are now available on the Course Marks page!

22 May 1030: The Talis Aspire reading list has been updated with new sections Writing Skills and Academic Integrity and Teamwork and Team Dynamics.

9 May 0900: The PMP Revision 2 brief is now available on the Assessments page.

1 May 1200: The In-Class Test (Initiation and Planning) section on the Assessments page now has a link to last year's ENGR 302 test on Executing, Monitoring and Control processes, provided as a rough guide only to the kind of questions that may be asked in tomorrow's test and the test on 30 May.

24 April 1200: The Assessments page has been updated with the dates and venue of the oral presentation sessions to be held in the examination period.

29 March, 0845: As announced at yesterday's lecture, today's lecture will begin with a Health & Safety guest speaker, Roger Cliffe. Health & Safety is critical for all projects, so attendance is mandatory. If anyone finds themselves unable to attend the lecture this afternoon, they should contact the Course Coordinator James Quilty as soon as possible to make alternate arrangements.

20 March, 1345: Assignment 1 is now available on the Assessments page.

16 March 1600: A new section in Assessments page, Resources has been created. The Project Charter Template mentioned in Tuesday's lecture may be found in this section.

15 March 1415: Project allocations (PDF) are available now! Everyone should have a project, but if anyone is not on the list who should be then they should contact the Course Coordinator immediately. Please research your project in preparation for your meeting with your client at 4:10 pm today in Fairlie Terrace 77/306.

13 March 1530: A small number of clashes have been resolved in final Interview Schedule. There are a few minor changes to times, please check this final version.

13 March 1430: The final interview schedule is now available in the Project Interview section of the Project Recruitment page.

12 March, 2100: The Project Recruitment page has been updated with information on tomorrow's Interview Format and Interview Questions.

11 March, 2045: Project Interview preliminary lists are now complete. Please note that there have been some changes in a minority of panels due to re-ranking. It is certain that the final list will contain similar differences, as panels may re-rank until 1 pm on Monday 13 March.

11 March, 1800: The Project Interviews section has been updated! There are only two selection panels yet to confirm their preliminary rankings.

11 March, 0700: A new Project Interviews section has been added to the Project Recruitment page, presently showing a preliminary (and incomplete) interview list. The preliminary list is subject to change when and as panels confirm their preliminary rankings.

10 March, 1800: Echo60 recordings of lectures are now available on Blackboard.

10 March, 1100: Omitted by oversight, the ENGR 301 Student IP Agreement (PDF) is now linked in the Student IP Agreements section of the Project Recruitment page.

7 March, 1100: Echo60 recordings of lectures are being made, but a technical issue beyond my control is presently causing delays to recordings appearing on the ENGR 301 Blackboard page. I've asked that the issue be addressed urgently.
