Abstract

A number of OpenBSD developers are visiting Victoria University in January. As part of this, they will give an informal talk to discuss what they have been working on recently, open to the public.

Bio
OpenBSD is a research operating system whose innovations have influenced the wider software ecosystem for over twenty years. It’s firewall, PF, is bundled by OS X; it has pioneered security techniques that are now used by Linux, Microsoft Windows, OS X, iOS and Android; and it provides software freely, such as openssh, that is basic to the daily operation of the internet.
