Prescription: This course builds a deeper understanding of software design in an Object-Oriented Language (Java). Students learn the art of developing well-designed programs from scratch. Topics include the Unified Modelling Language (UML), Design Patterns, and the principles of good Object- Oriented design. Practical skills are further developed through a series of implementation projects that challenge students' understanding of what it means to develop software.
