Foswiki's default preferences are located in System.DefaultPreferences, however settings defined here have override priority and should be used for local customisations.

Appearance

Customize logo and tooltip texts:

• Set WIKILOGOIMG =
• Set WIKILOGOALT = Victoria University

Give your site a specific name:

• Set WIKITOOLNAME = Foswiki

Customize your favicon:

• Set FAVICON = /favicon.ico

Customize your top bar background image and color

• Set WEBHEADERART = /foswiki/pub/System/PatternSkin/header5.gif
• Set WEBHEADERBGCOLOR = #ffffff

Default skin

• Set SKIN = vuwecsv2, pattern

Text

• Set WEBCOPYRIGHT = © Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand, unless otherwise stated

The default year to use when showing current academic info. Tends to switch to the next year around the end of Tri 2.

• Set ACADYEAR = 2024

Prevent automatic linking of WikiWords and acronyms (if set to on); link WikiWords (if empty); can be overwritten by web preferences:

• Set NOAUTOLINK = on
