My main research lies in utilising evolutionary computation techniques, particularly genetic programming, to effectively and efficiently tackle challenging problems in computer vision and pattern recognition, such as feature detection, feature extraction, feature construction, image classification, object recognition; and applying transfer learning, domain adaptation, and one-shot learning, techniques for image analysis.

Harith Al-Sahaf received the BSc degree in computer science from Baghdad University, Baghdad, Iraq, in 2005, and the MCompSc degree and the PhD degree in computer science from Victoria University of Wellington, Wellington, New Zealand, in 2010 and 2017, respectively.
