Profile:

Vikram Lakkavalli is a PhD student at School of Engineering andComputer Science, Victoria university of Wellington in New Zealand.

Vikram obtained his bachelors' degree (BE) in Electronics and Communication Engineering from the University of Mysore in 2001 and masters' degree from National Institute of Technology, Karnataka, Surathkal in 2004.

During October 2004 to May 2007, he worked at ESQUBE Communication Solutions as DSP Systems' Engineer, and between 2007 and 2009, he worked at different multinational companies as a senior software engineer. Between 2009 and 2011, he worked at Electrical Engineering department, Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bangalore, in the capacity of project associate. Vikram is interested in signal processing for speech and audio, and is currently working on low delay audio coding under the supervision of Prof Bastiaan Kleijn.
