Research Interests
My research interests are in the area of intelligent control of electromechanical systems. Specifically, my Group has developed a fleet of robots capable of operation over a variety of terrains. Our goal is to provide these robots with the ability to learn and adapt, and eventually be able to operate autonomously (without human intervention). To achieve this, we need to be able to solve navigation, localisation and control issues, develop new sensors, creatively incorporate new ones, and implement neural networks and other artificial intelligence algorithms. My Group also uses embedded controllers and high density digital electronics to provide solutions for a variety of industrial-based problems.Publications
