Assignment 1: Project Requirements

This assignment asks you to gather the requirements for your project. The assignment brief and requirements template are in Markdown format for your convenience: Assignment-1.md (Markdown). Please see the Schedule of Assessments for the submission due date and the weight of this assessment item.

Assignment 2: Project Architecture

This assignment asks you to write an architecture document. The assignment brief and architecture template are in Markdown format for your convenience: Assignment-2.md (Markdown). Please see the Schedule of Assessments for the submission due date and the weight of this assessment item.

Assignment 3: Performance Report

Your final assignment is to write a short individual report on your contribution to, and performance in, the management of your project – from the management of your individual work to the management of the project as a whole. The format of the report is one with which you should be familiar: a case study, in this instance focussed on you. Please see the ENGR 301 Assignment 3 Brief (PDF), the Team Evaluation Template (docx) and the supplementary Team Evaluation Marking Schedule (PDF) for more details. Assignment 4: Performance Assessment

This is a non-submission assessment of how well you have individually performed against 5 traits which are an Engineer's core competencies when working on projects. For full details, please see the Performance Assessment brief (PDF).

Assignment 5: Presentation

Each team is expected to give a short presentation on achievements as at the end of week 12. There will be around 40 minutes speaking with around 10 minutes for questions. These presentations will be individually assessed based on the following Oral Presentation Marking Scheme (PDF); students are expected to speak continuously for around 7 minutes each. Please see the Presentations page for further instruction and advice on the preparation of a presentation for assessment in ENGR 301.

Slides are to be submitted by all teams the night before the presentation, by the deadline indicated in the Submission System.

Presentation Practice: An individual practice session has been arranged for Wednesday, 12 June, from 13:00–15:00 Alan MacDiarmid AM101. Anyone wishing to practice their presentation and receive feedback should attend this session.
