Cognitive Robotics (practical test of theory). This assignment involves three stage-gates:

i) implementation of Robotic Operating System (ROS) to display sensor information,

ii) Use of ROS to move a robotic platform,

iii) Integration and testing of a prebuilt Simultaneous Localisation and Mapping (SLAM ) algorithm on the robotic platform.

Real world design, customer specification. A four-page specification document is to be produced outlining the main technical components of a Mechatronic system, i.e. a robot platform. Practical, financial and time constraints are important considerations.

Real-world design based on the customer agreed to specification with available resources, including time. To customer project investigation and where the appropriate implementation of an advanced mechatronic system.
