24/6/2009: Final Exam: Contents

Here's what to expect in the final exam:

One question is about type systems and another about programming languages in general.

The rest is about programming.
With a proportion of 3:1 of Prolog vs Haskell (because we covered Haskell in the mid-term test already).

Sometimes you only have to write a query, compute or explain some result, but you'll also be required to write predicates.

The "programming questions" also contain some background knowledge questions.

Make sure you know about basic programming language features like pattern-matching, higher-order functions, laziness, relations, unification, backtracking, Prolog execution.

If I were to prepare for the exam, I'd be going through the slides and the two assignments.

15/6/2009: Assignment 1 results

Assignment 1 has been marked. You find your mark (X/100) and some feedback in a comments.txt in your submission directory.  Forget about the 'Bonus points' field which is empty for everyone. If you have questions about the feedback/marking, please contact Paley. Assignment 2 results should be available soon.
